Easily changing sound input and output

Posted by d_tremblay 283 days ago Finder
Do you frequently need to change the source of your sound inputs or outputs, but you don't feel like going to the System Preferences panel all the time. With Snow Leopard, there is a very easy way to do it. Just click on the sound icon in the upper right corner of your screen in the menu bar while pressing the ALT key. Instead of having the slider to change the volume of the sound, you will have a menu where you get to choose the sound input and output. Before Snow Leopard, we had to use third-party software to change it easily. Now it is all included in the OS.
